2020 programme promises challenging and entertaining theatre
At the AGM on 20th June, our 2020 programme was announced. It is sure to be a bumper year for us with several challenging productions and a World Premier!
In March, we will be presenting a youth production of the play, Daisy Pulls It Off. It is a parody of the wholesome adventure stories about life in a 1920s girls’ English boarding school. This will be directed by Nicole Macdonald and production managed by Kathryn Rose.
In June, Lester Cooke is returning to direct Made in Dagenham, a musical written by David Arnold and Richard Thomas. We are pleased to welcome a new MD, Leigh Smith, who will be in charge of the musical baton. This is an adaptation of the true-life struggle of the women at the Ford motor plant to gain equal pay.
In September, get ready for the hilarious and fast-paced, The 39 Steps, to be directed by Susan Moore. This is a comedy based on the Alfred Hitchcock film, and features about six actors playing ALL the roles.
In November, The Mill will have its 3rd World Premiere as Kaye Tompkins and Kaye Vincent will be presenting The Clinic of Lost Souls. Set in the mysterious Prinder Institute, where rumours of experimental psychology have created a media frenzy, this musical is designed to surprise, entertain and grab the heart.
