While the theatre is dark… we are not idle!

We are currently unable to put on productions at The Mill due to the Coronavirus pandemic. That doesn’t mean, however, that all work has to stop!

Our contractors, Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, are hard at work inside our auditorium installing air conditioning as part of our Cool Down Appeal. Previously, Adcock RAC successfully installed the air conditioning units in our Clubroom, so we had no hesitation in commissioning them to carry out the work so that our audiences can stay cool during the Summer months.

Next week, the builders should be on site to install the steel work that will support the A/C units in the auditorium up above the mezzanine. The units are scheduled to be commissioned during the last week of September.

Whilst the scaffolding is in place, our backstage team will be taking the opportunity to carry out some maintenance work that we have been putting off because of the height.

As you can see, the auditorium has been transformed into a scaffolder’s paradise!
