Costumes, Wigs and Make Up

Appropriate costumes, wigs and make-up are essential to the visual impact of any stage performance. At the Mill we always need people who can help to make, find and look after the clothing and costumes used in our shows along with sourcing wigs and, for some productions, help create stylised make-up.

The team might also be required to act as dressers, being allocated to one or more actors to assist them in getting ready for the performance or achieving quick costume changes. Their work may include buying and hiring costume items, helping to make pieces and put costumes together, fitting the performers, mending and altering items, cleaning and ironing, and making sure that all items are available when needed.
