Love Alters Not is a collaborative, devised project for young adults, which aims to take scenes from famous plays and novels spanning ancient Greece to modern day, and channel them into one complete showcase of how love and heartbreak go with the times.
It will be created and performed solely by a group of eager young artists and creatives, and we encourage anyone who fits this description to get involved! This is a great opportunity to work with like-minded people, on some of the most beloved stories out there!
Show dates: 4th & 5th July 2025.
Creative team
Director/Producer: Connie Hankins
Choreographer: Grace Craddock
Creative Directors: Emily Dignan and Josh Broomhead
Auditions
Auditions will take place on Saturday, 8th February at Sharnbrook Mill Theatre from 1pm-5pm. There is an audition form (below) to fill in if you would like to attend.
Auditionees will have full control of the order they read the audition scenes and how they use the space. It is not necessary to memorise the pieces, unless you would like to!
We would like actors to audition and perform in their own accents. So don’t worry, for example, about doing the Great Gatsby scene in an American accent. Outside of accents, we encourage as much characterisation as you see fit.
We recommend you familiarise yourself with the characters you’re reading – there’s plenty of information out there!
Audition form
You must be at least 18 years old to audition.
Please fill in this audition form if you would like to be involved in Love Alters Not.
